By using FolkKeeper you agree to these terms.
What FolkKeeper is
FolkKeeper gives general information about Social Security letters and helps you organize your response. FolkKeeper is not a law firm, does not give legal advice and is not affiliated with the Social Security Administration. We do not represent you before SSA. You, or the person the letter is for, decide what to file and sign it.
Accuracy
Reviews are produced by software from the letter you send and SSA's published rules, including the 5 days SSA allows for mail. Letters can be incomplete or unclear. Always check the dates against your letter; if the letter shows an earlier date, use the earlier one. If your case is complicated or you need representation, contact a lawyer, an SSA-accredited representative or your local legal aid office.
Paid plans
Case support is a one-time fee per case for organizing help, not for representation. Fees of any attorney or representative you hire are agreed with them and approved by SSA; FolkKeeper does not share in them. Partner firms may pay FolkKeeper for introductions.
Limits
FolkKeeper is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made by SSA or for missed deadlines.
