FolkKeeper helps families understand letters from the Social Security Administration. This page says what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- The letter you send. A photo or PDF, or your answers to four questions. We ask you to cover names, addresses and numbers first.
- What we read from it. The date on the letter, the amounts, the benefit type and the reason SSA gives.
- Your email, only if you give it to us, for example to hear about case support.
- Basic site analytics: pages viewed and buttons clicked, without your name or the contents of your letter.
What we do with it
- We delete the photo or PDF as soon as the letter has been read.
- We keep the dates and amounts we read for 30 days, encrypted, so we can improve the service and answer questions about your review. Then we delete them.
- We do not sell your information. We share your contact details with a partner, such as a representative, only if you ask us to, and we name the partner first.
- We never ask for your Social Security number, your my Social Security login, your bank account or a card, and we never call you.
Your choices
Write to us at the address below and we will delete anything we hold about you. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we do not sell or share it.
